regarding major importance events broadcast in television programs

In keeping with provisions of art.107 in the Constitution and art. 21, par (2) and(3) in the Audiovisual Law no. 504/2002,

The Government of Romania adopts the present Decision.

Art.1.

Major importance events that maybe broadcast under exclusivity rights, unless such broadcasting deprives an important part of the public in Romania of the possibility to watch such events live or during a delayed broadcast, within a free to air service, shall be stipulated in the annex that is part of the present Decision.

Art.2

For the purpose of the present Decision, an important part of the public is made from 70% of Romania’s registered population.

Art. 3

(1) Major events shall customarily be broadcast live.

(2) Taking into account the conditions and the agreements among broadcasters and organizers, the broadcast of such major events, maybe made entirely or partly delayed.
