Regulations
Key legal references in the Romanian audiovisual sector
As in all EU Member States, the legal framework governing the audiovisual sector in Romania is complex.
There are two legal “pillars” which form the basis of the audiovisual regulations: 1. Audiovisual law number 504 2. CNA’s Regulatory Code Regarding Audiovisual Content, which was adopted in April 2006.
These pillars contain the main principles regarding the “rules” of the audiovisual sector in Romania, and there are a number of other laws and regulations which apply – all of which can be found in this section of the site.
Most of this legal information is only available in the Romanian language only, therefore this section of the site aims to provide interested parties with links to the relevant part of the Romanian section.
